So it was a good thing Jack and I went to the Pyramids yesterday as we have both encountered the infamous "thing" every traveler gets when coming to Cairo. Enough said on that subject. Now that I have internet, I will post some more pictures from yesterday:
Door of a tomb |
Riding off into the Sahara Desert. The Pyramids mark the beginning of the desert and our guide said it would only take three weeks on camels and horses to cross it to the west. He also said if he did a bad job we should cut off his head and leave it in the desert. |
Another picture of the Step Pyramid, this is a little out of order but I liked this picture. |
In town about to embark. |
Jump!! |
The camel was not happy and decided to run away. Of course I was the one who got to ride it after they brought it back. |
FORTH EORLINGUS!!! Jack had too much fun riding his horse and basically thought he was from the Lord of the Rings |
And now for the nutrition pictures:
Lunch in the van (no veggies but the chicken was good) |
Pigeon soup which was just a broth and not that bad |
Our restaurant we went to (I am blanking on the name but I will try to add it later) |
