I wish I could play some SC2 on my plane...

Well I am sitting outside my gate and I can not help but think about how much better these next nine hours would be if I could spend playing some Starcraft 2.

For those of you not that familiar with gaming, Starcraft 2 is the sequel to one of the best online games ever created. It is made by Blizzard Entertainment and if you go to this link you can find out more about it. Anyways, since it came out last Tuesday I have played it both with my brother Stephen (in the platinum league right now in 2v2) and also with my cousin Aubrey. Basically, playing Starcraft 2 reminds me of all the great fun I had playing video games in Middle School and High School. I revert back into what some may call a "nerdy" phase in my life. Although you could argue that phase never ended. Regardless, the game is incredible and it is one of the things I will miss most about being away in Cairo and Vienna. Late nights spent on battlenet playing Starcraft 2 with my brother and talking over skype was definitely a highlight of this summer ( the game officially came out last Tuesday, my brother and I both managed to get a copy of the beta). To conclude, I challenge you to think about this deep intellectual question: what better topic to use as my first ever blog post than Starcraft 2? Haha that was my attempt to take a page out of my Dad's book and include something spiritual in each blog post.

  1. Given the astronomical underpinnings of the alignment of the pyramids, I say Starcraft is the perfect first blog for this leg of your trip (haha). On this trip you are in a league all your own, at least in our family, so good luck.

  2. I love Starcraft 2, and am honored to be mentioned in your first blog post. I wish we could have played 3v3 matches with all 3 races. While you are gone I will attempt to at least make it into the platinum division...
